Film production in the Nikolaikirche in Görlitz

On August 4, 2024 The Schoole of Night (Maria Skiba & Frank Pschichholz) took part in the film reconstruction of the funeral of the co-founder of the Jakob-Böhne-Bund (1929-1924) Fritz Neumann-Hegenberg.

The funeral of the artist Fritz Neumann-Hegenberg, who had died of tuberculosis on August 2, 1924, could be relived on the basis of historical documents exactly one hundred years later, on Sunday, August 4, 2024. Neumann-Hegenberg’s death had been a turning point and at the same time the end of the Jakob-Böhme-Bund.

The Schoole of Night produced the audio tracks for the scene.

The film was produced by Jacob Böhme Bund and the Organisation zum Umwandlung des Kinos e.V. with the use of the analogue film techniques from the 1920s. The film artists were Klaus Weingarten and Jan Korthäuer.
